OVERVIEW

The Giants causeway is truly one of Ireland’s best natural wonders. There was extensive volcanic activity over 50 million years ago, the hot lava cooled resulting in the formation of over 40,000 interlocking basalt columns. There are a few examples of this phenomena around the world but none as impressive as the giants causeway. Spend two hours exploring this fantastic attraction with its many notable features such as the Giants boot, the chimney stacks, the Giants Gate and the honeycomb.

On our wonderful day trip you also get to cross the Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge. From this view point you are afforded spectacular coastal and ocean views. Also on a clear day you can see Scotland and also have cliffs views that rival the cliffs of Moher for it’s beauty.

Have an 75 minutes to explore Belfast or your driver can arrange for a political taxi tour ( £15pp not included)

Irish day tours Have received the Trip advisor Certificate of Excellence 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 and have a 96% excellent or very good rating. This is due to our clean modern fleet of buses our attention to customer service and our excellent diver guides.

Throughout the day you will enjoy the unique humor, wisdom, and unbeatable knowledge of our guides. Furthermore we will drive along some of the most breathtaking coastline in Northern Ireland. In conclusion our Giant’s Causeway tour is an incredible trip with memories to last a lifetime

TESTIMONIALS: Giant's Causeway Day Trip

Giants Causeway and Belfast - a must to do

What an amazing day! We were picked up on time from Dublin by our guide Mick and bus driver Cornelious. We were entertained the whe way with history and interesting landmarks. The rope bridge at Carrik-a-rede was great and the scenery was breathtaking. A lovely lunch at the Fullerton Arms followed by the Giants Causeway. We went on to Belfast and did the black taxi ride with Michael who explained the background of the troubles in Belfast from a hostorical and more recent perspective. It is well worth taking the time for this taxi ride to get an appreciation of the current sensitivities. A great day all round would highly recommend this trip.
The guys who took us really added to the day.

Giants Causeway tour

Yesterday we took a tour to the Giants causeway and Belfast city. Straight away, there was a large group being very loud, rude and disruptive. We we're looking forward to the drive as we had Rob as our driver before a couple days earlier when we went to the Cliffs of Moher and Galway and that trip was very enjoyable. Rob was very entertaining, knowledgeable, and even sang us songs. This group, however, delayed us at every stop and created a somewhat unpleasant and tense atmosphere on the bus. When my girlfriend was feeling nauseous Rob moved us to the front of the bus and they're group leader began to argue with us that it was her seat, insisting that we move. I have to say that Rob handled the situation very well and probably if not for him it would have been a pretty dismal day. I would highly recommend Irish day tours based on our Galway experience and Rob's ability to save what could have been a terrible day. 100% recommend taking a tour with Irish day tours. Would love to take a private group tour with Rob on our next visit. GREAT CRAIC!

Giant's Causeway and Belfast tour

Wow, what a wonderful trip!! Our guide, Rob, was highly knowledgeable about all things Irish, was very patient, and friendly. Unfortunately, there was a large group that put us roughly 45 minutes behind schedule, being late at EVERY stop but one. They were very rude, inconsiderate, and could not have cared less that they were taking away from our time at these amazing places. This was very frustrating for the other 29 passengers on the tour, but thankfully Rob still showed us things that weren't included on the tour (Game of Thrones scenes) and offered to guide us when we arrived at the Giant's causeway. I would HIGHLY recommend touring with him and this company. If and when I am back to Ireland, I will without a doubt tour with them again and would recommend them to anyone going to tour ireland.
The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and the weather turned out to be wonderful. The only thing I would recommend is to dress warm!! It was very windy over the rope bridge since it was directly over the ocean. The giant's causeway was about the same, but warmer with it being later in the day. Wearing good, nonslip walking shoes is also a must!!
Rob was without a doubt the best tour guide I have ever toured with. He was very personable - our group chatted with him the entire 12+ hour guide. He was very patient with the 17 rude passengers and still entertained the rest of the 29, including myself. I hope to return and take a private tour with him one day!!
Overall, very much worth the money and time!
