IMPORTANT NOTICE (8th January 2020)
The Carrick-a-Rede Rope Bridge (part of the Giant's Causeway tour) has been closed due to a small landslide. The National Trust has said, "The safety of our staff and visitors is paramount therefore the bridge will remain closed until all necessary specialist surveys have been completed."
We will keep you updated on its re-opening!
The Giant's Causeway is truly one of Ireland’s best natural wonders. There was extensive volcanic activity over 50 million years ago, the hot lava cooled resulting in the formation of over 40,000 interlocking basalt columns. There are a few examples of this phenomenon around the world but none as impressive as the Giant’s Causeway. Spend two hours exploring this fantastic attraction with its many notable features such as the Giants Boot, the chimney stacks, the Giant's Gate, and the honeycomb.
On our wonderful day trip, you also get to cross the Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge. From this viewpoint, you are afforded spectacular coastal and ocean views. Also, on a clear day, you can see Scotland and have cliffs views that rival the cliffs of Moher for its beauty.
You have 75 minutes to explore Belfast or your driver can arrange for a political taxi tour (£15pp not included).
Irish Day Tours have received the Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019 - and have a 96% rating - excellent or very good. This is due to our clean modern fleet of buses, our attention to customer service, and our excellent driver guides.
Throughout the day you will enjoy the unique humour, wisdom, and unbeatable knowledge of our guides. Furthermore, we will drive along some of the most breathtaking coastline in Northern Ireland. In conclusion, our Giant’s Causeway tour is an incredible trip with memories to last a lifetime.
